32, 34 , 42, 44, 52, ??


Ans: 54 i.e. 52 + 2 = 54
32, 32 + 2 = 34, 34 + 8 = 42, 42 + 2 = 44, 44 + 8 = 52, 52 + 2 = 54
Logic: This is a simple alternating addition series. In the first number, 2 is added; in the second 8 is added and so on.

Q2. Find the next number in the series is:
964, 947, 930, 913, ??, 879


Ans: 896 i.e. 913 – 17 = 896
964, 964 – 17 = 947, 947 – 17 = 930, 930 – 17 = 930, 930 – 17 = 913, and so on.
Logic: Every number is previous number minus 17 and that is how the middle number or the number at 5th position will be identified.

Q3. Next number in the series is:
4, 10 , 13, 19, 22, ??


Ans: 28 i.e. 22 + 6 = 28
4, 4 + 6 = 10, 10 + 3 = 13, 13 + 6 = 19, 19 + 3 = 22, 22 + 6 = 28
Logic: This is a simple alternating addition series. In the first number, 6 is added; in the second 3 is added and so on.

Ans: -892 i.e. -907 + 15 = -892

Ans: -210 i.e. -220 + 10 = -210
-250, -250 + 10 = -240, -240 + 10 = -230, -230 + 10 = -230, -230 + 10 = -220, and so on.
Logic: Every number is previous number plus 10 and that is how you can find out the number at 5th position.

Ans: 23 i.e. 20 + 3 = 23

Ans: -962 i.e. -947 – 15 = -962
-902, -902 – 15 = -917, -917 – 15 = -932, -932 – 15 = -932, -932 – 15 = -947, and so on.
Logic: Every number is previous number minus 15 and that is how you can identify the last number in the series.

26 + 44 = 1820
63 + 85 = 9324
58 + 74 = 7656
23 + 35 = ? – what will be the number here?


Answer: 1334 i.e.23*(23 + 35)
26*(26 + 44) = 1820,
63*(63 + 85) = 9324, 58*(58 + 74) = 7656
Logic: The logic is addition of both number multiplied by first number i.e.(26 + 44)*26=1820

14, 7.0, 3.5, 1.75, ?


Answer: 0.875 i.e. 1.75/2.
Logic: Second number is half of first one, 3rd number is half of second one and so on i.e. 14/2 =7.0, 7.0/2 =3.5, 3.5/2 =1.75 and so on.

2, 4, 8, 16, ?


Answer: 32 i.e. 2^5
Logic: The series is square, cube, ^4 and so on i.e. 2 * 2 = 4 , 2 * 2 * 2 = 8 etc.

Ans.10 i.e. 6 + 4
Second number is (1st number + 1), third number is (2nd number + 2), 4th is (3rd number + 3) and so on.
i.e. 0 + 1 = 1, 1 + 2 = 3, 3 + 3 = 6 and so on.

7, 9, 13, 19, ?


Ans. 27 i.e. 12 + 8
Second number is (1st number + 2), third number is (2nd number + 4), 4th is (3rd number + 6) and so on.
7 + 2 = 9, 9 + 4 = 13, 13 + 6 = 19 and so on.

Ans.14 i.e.10 + 4
8 + 2 = 10, 10 + 4 = 14, 14 + 6 = 20, 20 + 8 = 28,

Ans. 65 i.e.(16*4 + 1) = 65

Logic: 1st number *2 + 1 = second, 1st number * 3 + 1 = third and so on.

Q20. Find the missing number in the series:

Ans.12 i.e.(24+4) = 12 22 + 2 = 6, 23 + 3 = 9, 24 + 4 = 12, 25 + 5 = 15, 26 + 6 = 18.
Logic: 1st number *2 + 2 = second, 1st number * 3 + 3 = third, 1st number * 4 + 4 = fourth and so on.
